How to Launch a Fall Challenge Program

When kids go back to school and summer activities wind down, many clients want to also get back to healthier routines.
That’s why it’s a great time to launch a new group coaching program. Almost as good as the New Year Jumpstart period, clients are ready to start fresh in the new season — and they’re prepared to hire you to help them stay on track.
You can attract new clients into your health coaching practice by launching a short, free or low-cost challenge program. Here’s how to get started:
To warm up your potential clients, you can start posting on social media and writing to your email list about getting back to routine.
Get people excited to join a challenge with you by talking about the benefits of getting back to basics and clean eating habits after a summer of indulgence. You can start seeding the idea of working together in a group with like-minded people sharing a similar goal. And you can talk about the successes that you’ve had helping clients in group challenges.
If you have past superstar clients with great successes, you can feature their stories in your newsletter and in social posts. You could also ask your success stories if they would be willing to be interviewed by you for an online live video, recorded video, or in a webinar. Many clients are happy to share their successes if they have had a great experience working with you.
Right before you’re ready to open the doors to your challenge, let your audience know that you will be running a special group program to help them get back on track.
You can let them know that they will get access to your tracking app for free if they participate in the program. Offering the app will give them a chance to test-drive what it’s like to work with you using MBODY360.
Before you launch the challenge, set up a special challenge group within your MBODY360 practitioner portal. Once people sign up, you can easily add them to the group and communicate with everyone all at once.
It’s easier to have all of your challenge participants starting at the same time. That way you can see how the whole group is doing, what’s working for each person, and where people need more support
For a short challenge, you’ll want to offer one of the shorter 7-day or 14-day programs. As an example, you could give your participants the Paleo plan or the Low Sugar plan and give them the MBODY360 app for free.
You can offer your challenge for free — and still earn money from it. Here’s how it can work:
Free and VIP challenge level
Many people will probably like to participate for free and support themselves within the group. Some people will want extra support or hand holding.
You can offer a VIP level for a small fee, and give your VIP participants something extra. For example, you can offer a live, group-coaching call for your VIP participants or do a special ask me anything call.
Offer detox kits as an add on
Some people won’t want to cook all of their meals. Others might want an easier way to get the nutrients they need when they’re on the go.
You can add detox kits from the MBODY360 Wellness Store as an optional add-on that clients may choose to purchase — and you can earn some incremental, recurring revenue.
Once your challenge is over, some of your participants are going to want more — especially if they got great results in a short amount of time.
You can invite participants to join you in your next group coaching program, done-for-you program, or individual coaching program. Some will take you up on your offer, and you’ll have new clients in your practice!
Others will not be ready yet, and that’s OK, too. You can follow up with those participants in the following months to see if they need support. And you can also let them know about upcoming events through your newsletter.
Seasonal challenges attract new clients who are ready to take the next step in their wellness journey — and they’re a great way to get your practice out into the world.
